How much ceiling clearance does a Mamava pod need?

For XL and Original pods

Assemble the XL pod in an area that has at least 8’4” of ceiling clearance. The Original needs at least a 8’6” ceiling for assembly as you need clearance to slide in the side panels. If you’re not assembling your pod in the final location due to limited ceiling clearance, you can move the pod short distances using the built-in casters.

For Flex and Solo pods

Flex and Solo pods require a ceiling height of 7’9” for assembly. Pods should be installed as close as possible to their final site. If you’re not assembling the pod in the final location due to limited ceiling clearance, the Flex and Solo pods can be moved short distances using the built-in casters (not available on all Solo models). If you have a Solo without caster wheels, the pod will need to be disassembled prior to moving.

For Slide pods

Assemble the Slide pod in an area with at least 8’ of ceiling clearance and as close to the final location as possible. The pod can be moved a few feet using the glide feet, if needed.

XL pods have an exterior height of 7’7” while Original, Flex, and Solo pods have an exterior height of 7’9” (including the antenna.) The Slide has an exterior height of 7’4”. Depending on the pod model, additional ceiling clearance may be needed for assembly.
